European Consumer Centre Slovenia in 2022

In 2022, ECC Slovenia received a total of 1,346 consumer claims through various communication channels, an increase of 3,7% compared to the previous year.

In 991 cases, consumers asked about consumer rights or for advice on how to enforce their rights in specific cases.

ECC Slovenia helped 355 consumers resolve complaints about cross-border purchases of goods or services. Of these, 152 complaints were made by Slovenian consumers against providers, mostly German and Bulgarian. Most of the complaints were related to air travel and purchases of clothing and footwear. The total value of successfully resolved complaints was €56,986.92. In 203 cases, foreign consumers, mostly from Bulgaria and Croatia, complained against Slovenian providers of goods or services. Most of the cases concerned violations related to purchases of clothing and footwear. 73,6% of the claims were resolved in favour of the consumer, with their total value standing at €10,035.56.

2022 was a very successful year for the ECC Network as a whole. It was a record year, with a total of €9,904,714.93 worth of consumer claims recovered through the ECC Network. In 2022, consumers had the most problems with air travel, followed by cases related to purchases of mixed goods and other services.

In total, the ECC Network received 126,693 consumer enquiries and complaints in 2022.
