In 2025, the European Consumer Centre in Slovenia received a total of 1,753 consumer complaints, which shows a significant increase compared to the previous year.

Among these, 1,375 cases concerned questions about consumer rights or assistance in exercising them, while in 378 cases we provided consumers with concrete assistance in resolving complaints against companies.

Slovenian consumers filed 143 complaints against foreign goods providers, most often originating from Germany and the Netherlands, followed by Spain and Italy. The most common problems were product non-conformity (35.5%) and exercising the right to withdraw from the contract (35.5%). Complaints about undelivered goods (10.8%) were also very common.

On the other hand, EPC Slovenia also considered 233 cases in which foreign consumers complained about Slovenian providers. The majority of complaints originated from Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic and Poland. In these cases, too, the most common problem was related to the right to withdraw from the contract (44%), followed by product non-conformity (14.8%) and problems with receiving the goods (11%). The most common complaints referred to the purchases of clothing and footwear.

Across the entire network of European Consumer Centres, nearly 165,189 consumers throughout Europe were provided with free legal advice, assistance, and mediation in resolving cross-border consumer disputes in 2025. The most common violations at the network level were related to product non-compliance (11.8%), problems with product delivery (11.4%), and exercising the right to withdraw from the contract (8%).
