On its website, the Slovenian Market Inspectorate has warned consumers to exercise caution when purchasing products via FRAMA TRGOVINA d.o.o., a company based in Lenart v Slovenskih Goricah, which sells tools for industry and trade, and farm implements.

The EPC Slovenia and the Slovenian Market Inspectorate were contacted by various consumers who encountered unexpected problems after placing and paying for an online order, pointing to suspected online fraud. They did not receive the product they had ordered and paid for within the expected timeframe, nor even later, nor did they receive a refund from the company within the statutory deadline after not having received the product.

As the Market Inspectorate explains: "The Consumer Protection Act stipulates that if the time of delivery is not specified in the contract, the enterprise shall meet its obligations without undue delay, but not later than 30 days from the conclusion of the contract, unless the parties agree otherwise. If the enterprise fails to meet its obligations, the consumer shall set an appropriate additional period of time in which to fulfil the contract. If the enterprise fails to meet its obligations by that additional deadline, the consumer may withdraw from the contract, and the enterprise shall, without undue delay, refund the consumer for all payments made."

The company in question does not respect the obligations mentioned above, for which several administrative offence decisions have already been issued against it.

Based on the information presented above, we advise consumers to exercise caution when purchasing products from this company.
