The European Consumer Centre Austria and VKI - Consumers Association of Austria have prepared an overview of prices of 6-day family ski passes at 100 Austrian ski resorts. The complete overview of prices of ski passes including contact details of ski resorts is available at the website www.europakonsument.at. Following you will find a summary of some of the most important comparison findings.
The prices range from less than 300 to more than 700 EUR for six days of skiing
The cheapest price of a family ski pass (two adults, a child and a teenager) in Austria is in Wenigzell - 271 EUR, while the highest price is in Arlberg - 761 EUR. In comparison with last year's prices, the prices of ski passes have on average been increased by 3 to 4 percent, there are however quite a few ski resorts where prices have not been changed. Some ski resorts offer ski passes that are valid on several ski resorts. However, before you decide to buy them it, is worth thinking about your skiing skills and habits and considering whether you would want to take advantage of larger ski resorts or you will be perfectly happy using the services available on smaller ski resorts.

Look into additional benefits and discounts
At a large number of ski resorts, there are special discounts for families and skiers who are also using the ski resorts' accommodation facilities. The discounts change according to when you wish to ski. We also advise you to check what kind of documents or ID's you need to take advantage of individual discounts. Our colleagues in Austria also suggest inquiring about any additional benefits/discounts at the ticket office, even though they may not be advertised.

Compare with the prices of season ski passes
If you are one of skiing enthusiasts and your plan is to make your way down the ski slopes for more than a single week during the entire winter, it is worth comparing the prices of 6-day and season ski passes. You do however need to pay attention while making the comparison as some of the season ski passes are not valid for the same ski areas as the 6-day ski passes.
