When you are shopping long distance (e.g. on the internet) or out of seller's business premises (e.g. at your home), in case the product is defective or you want to enforce your warranty for a broken product, you have the same rights as if you have made the purchase at the seller's store.
In addition, you are also entitled to cancel the order or purchase without a reason within the following time limits:
- in case of sales out of seller's business premises within 7 days from the time the seller notified you about your right to cancel the contract;
- in case of distance sales within 7 working days from the delivery. If the seller hasn't notified you about your right to withdraw and hasn't provided you with certain other relevant information, the time limit is 3 months from delivery. If within these 3 months the seller provides you with the relevant information, the time limit for cancellation is 7 working days from that notification.
The seller than has to fully reimburse you (except for the actual costs for returning the product) within 30 days.
If you wish to cancel the order you have made, you should notify the seller about it as soon as possible.
If you are having difficulties enforcing your rights, turn to your local ECC.
