The European Consumer Centre has lately received an increasing number of consumer complaints which concern the same Italian companies. As we would like to prevent that other Slovene consumers experience difficulties with them, we have decided to make these companies public.
In particular we would like to expose the company ArredamentiPiù s. r. l., more commonly known by the name l'arredoPiù. The company owns a furniture shop, which is frequently visited by consumers from Slovenia. Most of complaints of Slovene consumers concern lengthy delivery delays, defectiveproducts, incomplete delivery and vague invoices. Consumers are advised to exercise caution when purchasing from this particular company. It is especially important to carefully read the fine print of the purchase order contract, which imposes a high contractual penalty should the consumer cancel the order.
We would also like to warn consumers to be very careful when purchasing goods in the children's products shop L. Lucchesi di Lucia Lucchesi in Gorizia in Italy. We have received complaints from three consumers who were dissatisfied with faulty products purchased in this shop and the shop's unfair commercial practice. We would particularly like to point out that even after the intervention of the European Consumer Centre Italy the company remained reluctant to co-operate in any way, and also turned down the suggested alternative dispute resolution (mediation). The consumers reported the shop to the competent Italian authorities.
Our Centre has also received numerous complaints about the airline Myair.com s.p.a. The airline has been ignoring consumers' complaints, and has also not been responding to the intervention of the European Consumer Centre in Italy. Despite the fact that the EU legislation very clearly defines airline passenger rights, it is in the case of the company Myair.com practically impossible to assert these rights without consumers taking their cases to court.
