Consumer Centre Slovenia was established in November 2006. It is part of the European Consumer Centres Network (ECC-Net), which was in 2005 founded by the European Commission in coordination with EU member states in order to improve the awareness of consumers regarding their rights in the Internal Market of the EU and to provide them with immediate free-of-charge assistance should they encounter difficulties when asserting their consumer rights in other EU member states.
