The introduction of new cigarette safety standards compels manufacturers to using the manufacturing process technology which reduces the ignition propensity of cigarettes, i.e. cigarettes will self-extinguish when left unattended. Cigarettes left unattended are namely one of the leading causes of fatal fires in Europe.
